Busy and Fun Weekend…

So…

This weekend was a busy one! It started Thursday night with a dinner and a concert in Tarrytown, NY with my aunts and uncles. The night started at a restaurant called Sushi Thai Asian Fusion. If you’re ever in Tarrytown, stop in for a bite because it was delicious! I ordered a spicy crunchy salmon roll, a spider roll, and washed it down with a sake martini. After dinner it was a short walk to the Tarrytown Music Hall!

Now… I’ve been a fan of Colin Hay (lead singer of 80’s band Men At Work) for years now, and I was very excited to see him live. Trust me when I say he did NOT disappoint! It was just him and his acoustic guitars, no backing band. It was entertaining start to finish and he told a bunch of laugh-out-loud stories between songs. It was great!

The next day, Suz and I drove home and did some yard work to begin our spring cleaning. I weeded around the tiki bar and patio deck while she trimmed branches, weeded garden beds and raked. We make a great team <3 Also it was beautiful weather to start up our backyard out of winter hibernation!

Saturday and Sunday were spent with my step-dad, Paul. He’s fixing up a house to sell and needed some help since he’s dealing with vertigo at the moment. Day one, he sent me down into the crawlspace to string up some gas lines and to line up some duct work. Day two, I was up on a ladder all day installing soffit. You could say I really experienced the highs and lows of home repair! I’ll see myself out… Anyone that knows me can tell you I’m not the fixer-upper type, but I learned a lot the past couple days. Thanks Paul!
