10 Years Married

So…

As of December 29, 2022 Suzanne and I have been married for 10 years! And we’ve been a couple for 17 years now. We were just kids when we started dating (15 and 17 years old…so young wow). Anyway, we had a wonderful anniversary. Here’s some of the highlights!

We went on a date to a glass-blowing shop in Asbury Park called Hot Sand and did some real glass-blowing! We made a vase and a drinking glass.

On the actual 10-year anniversary date of our wedding, we drove up to Peekskill, NY and had a romantic dinner at the actual restaurant we got married in! This restaurant, long ago when we got married, was called Harbor at Charles Point. No more! It is now called Fin & Brew, and downstairs is a game/bar/live music type establishment similar to Dave and Busters. Anyway, our food at Fin & Brew was delicious, they brought us out complimentary champagne for our anniversary, and the desert was amazing.

We stayed in Peekskill for a few days. We tried food and drinks at a couple local establishments and went for a beautiful walk along the Hudson River at the Peekskill waterfront. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. Our Airbnb was also perfect for our stay. Our rental neighbors had a beautiful dog named Gully. Bear made a quick friend and had a great time on vacation too!

All in all it was a great getaway, just me and Suz, to celebrate her putting up with me for 10 years. Here’s hoping for 100 more!

P.S. the cats missed us a lot and were very happy when we got back home…
